Nothing beats the exciting sound of live choral music.

Our popular concerts feature high quality singing of classical and contemporary choral music in some of the best venues. The Chorus sound truly wonderful when you hear them perform music live – the way the composer wanted it to be heard.

Come to our next concert and see how that feels.

After a short brass fanfare, Vaughan Williams’ A Sea Symphony opens with the choir declaring “Behold, the sea itself!” conjuring up a vision of panoramic horizons and brave voyages using the atmospheric poetry of Walt Whitman. Our combined choirs will bring drama and poignancy to this most popular of English choral pieces.

James McCarthy’s Codebreaker was commissioned by Hertfordshire Chorus and is a dramatic, emotional and memorable work about the tragic life of Alan Turing. Turing was famous for breaking the German Enigma code during World War II which may have shortened the war by two years. The libretto for Codebreaker includes some of Turing’s own words as well as some beautifully pointed and moving extracts from the works of Wilfred Owen, Sara Teasdale, Edward Thomas, Robert Burns and Oscar Wilde.
