Click on the video to hear from some of our members and our musical director David Temple about what it is like to sing with us.

Rehearsals have currently been suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak.

We will start rehearsing again as soon as it is safe to do so. If you would like us to tell you when we re-start, please contact us at membership@hertfordshirechorus.org.uk

Would you like to sing with us?

Maybe you’re coming back to singing after a break. Maybe you sing with a chamber group and would also like to experience singing with a large choir.  Many of our singers enjoy singing in more than one choir. We promise a friendly welcome and look forward to singing with you.

There is no commitment to join but if you would like to, then we would be delighted to talk it through.

Come to any rehearsal

If you are a good singer, especially a tenor or bass, why not come along and try us out? We usually rehearse on Wednesdays from 7.30-10:00pm at Stanborough School, Lemsford Lane, Welwyn Garden City AL8 6YR.

You will be welcome at any regular rehearsal.

As venues sometimes change, contact us at membership@hertfordshirechorus.org.uk and we can make sure you have the latest information.

Click below to listen to our ‘Meet My Choir’ slot with Sara Mohr-Pietsch on BBC’s The Choir. Tenor Iain McLaughlin explains what makes Hertfordshire Chorus interesting to join – and why Benedict Cumberbatch came to the premiere of our commission, Codebreaker.

As well as our own concerts, our members are asked to sing in other exciting events. Recently we’ve sung in an open-air concert in front of a Norman castle, in a concert performance of War Horse for the BBC and recorded tracks in the studio for an American metal band.
